Seasonal Kaleidoscope of Color

“When space is limited, every plant has to provide a minimum of two seasons of interest. There is no room for ‘one-trick ponies’. All plants in this captivating composition dazzle the eye with a minimum of three, if not four seasons.” —Kerry Ann Mendez, Northeast Region Garden Design Expert

Just like the kaleidoscope toy, this garden turns colors over all four seasons. Amsonia begins the show with blue flowers, Sedum Autumn Charm™ yellow-edged foliage gives constant interest with soft, pink flowers later as a bonus. Geranium Azure Rush® provides non-stop light blue flowers until fall, which contrast nicely with the wine-red foliage on the native Switch Grass ‘Cheyenne Sky’. The final turn yields bright red stems for winter interest from Cornus ‘Prairie Fire’.
